About BOTF

Big Ol’ Tire Fire is an Austin, Texas based musical comedy, writing, and production group. In addition to producing award winning music, movies, animation, and live events ,BOTF also maintains this blog that features original comedy and other goodies from around the web and real life.
The group was established in 2006, and our first film hit the web in the spring of 2007. Since then, we’ve made dozens of shorts filled with original music, outrageous concepts, and hilarious performances.

Mark

Mark Stewart is a extremely talented actor, writer, and musician. Mark was Artistic Director of Tongue & Groove Theatre and has won many awards for his quality work over the years. He is a major player in the Austin theater scene and a dynamic creative voice, worthy of the awe we all share for him.

Hilah

Hilah Johnson has beauty, intelligence and an effortless wit that compliments her deep talent as an actor, singer and writer. She is the front-woman of the punk band The Hot as Shits and is a company member at Tongue & Groove Theatre. She is definitely one to watch and makes us happy each day that we have hitched our little wagon to her star.

Jason

Jason Andres is a natural. He is an amazing songwriter, singer, actor, and writer who dispenses an irreverent charm that audiences lap up with glee. His alter ego, Francisco The Man, can be found rocking the ivories from Galveston to the Big D.

Craig

Craig Matthew Staggs is an accomplished animator, writer, and actor with a disarming nervous energy and manic artistic drive. He is the Director of Animation at Aphid Animation and was an animator on Richard Linklater’s A Scanner Darkly.

Jess & Steph

Jessica Gardner is our Director of Photography and Editor. Her resume includes years of working in Television around the world. She is an award winning documentary film maker, producer and videographer.

Steph Swope is a producer and all around, one woman, get shit done superstar. She is a freelance photographer and production designer with an impressive client list, and we couldn’t do this without her.

Big Ol’ Tire Fire offers comedic writing and production services with a unique appeal. We currently have several projects in development. We continue to pursue the highest quality possible and pride ourselves on producing relevant and exceptional humorous media on a reasonable budget.
