Look guys, there's been a lot of contentious stuff flying around in the comments section for this little gem of an infotainment piece. "Clams are fungus, not a plant." "Clams are myth." "Eels are a myth." "Sponges are a myth." "Clams and sponges are the same thing and are classified as planimals." Or my personal favorite, "Japanese people are a myth." Let me just trot out all of my credentials and set the record straight. EVERYTHING written in this piece is the incontrovertible truth - like the bible. So get it through your heads already, the Japanese are real and their is not such thing as a planimal!

blue-green, slimy sea algae uses more carbon than trees, but you didn't mention it, instead you mentioned kelp, a noxious sea weed that only skinny Asians eat to survive and is known to strangle surfers as the weed (note the pejorative - weed) acts in symbiosis with great whites that eat the surfers' ensnared remains, then shit and fertilize the killing fields, I mean kelp fields. on the other hand blue green algae is where surfers' ghosts go to hang out and play guitar. this site is genuinely environmental, genuinely scientific and a genuinely real contribution to society. you should be siphoning patrons off Nature, National Geographic and Scientific American's soon. you should charge a fee in order to support further research, but not to me of course!

How appropriate that the dance in Back to the Future was called "Enchantment Under the Sea." Why can't we all just make like a tree, and help to reduce carbon emissions!?
